Job Description: Reporting directly to the warehouse manager and keeping daily communication with the front office. The warehouse position is responsible for getting daily orders together as well as loading and unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklifts, and maintaining the warehouse organized. As well, as possessing exceptional moral character. The basic requirements of these are as follows below.
Tasks:
o Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
o Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
o Gather orders together for following-day deliveries.
o Load delivery truck with orders that were gathered that day (by the warehouse)
o Make sure all orders are taken from the printer inside the office to outside in the warehouse.
o Being able to navigate a dolly and a pallet jack.
o Unload delivery trucks weekly from vendors we receive.
o Being available to deliver, if need be, with the company truck.
o Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
Work activities:
o Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
o Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
o Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
o Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
o Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events — Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
