L&R Ready Mix , a family-owned and operated company, is looking for a dependable and experienced Diesel Mechanic for our shop. The diesel mechanic will inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul equipment and trucks, and maintain and repair any type of diesel engines.
Candidate must be independent, self-motivated, and able to multi-task, highly organized, detail oriented, and quick learner with strong organizational skills, time management, and good attendance.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Consult with supervisors and read work orders and inspection reports to determine work required
Perform basic care and routine maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, rotating tires, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
Perform repairs to equipment and machinery
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition
Rebuild, disassemble and overhaul engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, among others
Maintains vehicle records
Complies with laws and regulations as well as health and safety policies
Minimal Requirements:
At least one year of related experience
Must be able to work overtime and weekends
Must possess a valid driver license
Position is full-time
Must be bilingual (English and Español)
