Patient Safety Attendant

Medical City North Hills

Position Summary:

Provides direct bedside observation of the patient under the supervision of the professional nurse and alerts the nursing staff of patient’s needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs direct observation of the patient as assigned by the registered nurse and reports observations, and patient needs to appropriate person.
• Performs technical skills as outlined during educational training and nursing unit requirements.
• Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.
  

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma/GED preferred

Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds, has over 300 physicians and 30 medical specialties. The ER has about 39,000 visits each year and is a Level III Trauma Center. We are also a Primary Stroke Center, perform Spine Surgery, and have a comprehensive Cardiovascular Services department. We are an accredited Cycle 5 Chest Pain Center with a Cardiac Rehabilitation program as well as have a Total Joint Replacement Program.
