Position Summary: A leader in comprehensive gas and vapor handling, combustion,
and recovery solutions looking for a Regional Sales Manager to plan and execute sales
strategies and tactics that will contribute to the achievement of the Companys revenue
objectives. To recommend strategic objectives related to market share and product
offerings that will result in long- term success of the Company.
Essential Activities (with or without reasonable accommodation):
1. Develop, implement and manage a sales strategy (including a business and action
plan) that will generate and cultivate customers within a defined regional sales
territory.
2. Generate leads and conduct sales calls/presentations to potential customers. As
necessary, tailor presentation materials and content to best present the product
to potential customers.
3. Source, interview, and recommend potential independent sales agents and agent
groups. Participate in contract negotiations.
4. Direct independent agents to become fully effective salespersons. Assist them to
develop and execute strategies and action plans for their territories; provide them
with technical support; and assist them to close the sales, as needed.
5. Execute activities necessary to assure that the Company is included on client
vendor lists.
6. Monitor sales quotations in the territory; as necessary, follow up with customers
and take steps necessary to expedite execution of a purchase order.
7. Monitor and analyze sales leads and referrals in order to identify trends in the
marketplace.
8. Prepare, update and manage sales forecasts.
9. Provide customers and potential customers with technical assistance and product
education.
10. Solicit customer feedback. Communicate issues to management (Project
Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.).
11. Attend tradeshows, conferences and other sales events.
12. Attend client technical and/or commercial meetings.
13. Update the sales tracking system on a weekly basis.
14. As required by workload, prepare proposals and quotations.
Competencies:
Education, Training, Experience, and Overall Knowledge/Skill: Plans,
organizes and evaluates multiple operational activities and/or makes professional
recommendations using specialized knowledge of a scientific, technical, or
administrative discipline. Typically requires completion of university training in
engineering or equivalent expertise in a technical field. Typically requires 5 years of
related experience.
