Responsible for providing expert-level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall systems architecture. Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise. Reviews, advises, and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. Assists in the development of and manage an architecture governance process. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs. Requires limited day-to-day supervision and guidance on handling unique situations. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Acts as a team lead or project manager on individual projects and on broader programs. Supervisor to be responsible for providing guidance and leadership for a team of around five to eight engineers. Qualifications:
Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
7 years of architecting experience in large data center operations.
7 years of architecting and administration experience with file and block-level storage infrastructure, including storage area networks.
7 years of architecting and administration experience with Server Operating Systems.
5 years of architecting and administration experience with Citrix.
5 years of architecting and administration experience with Virtualization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management;
Self-motivated and excels in team and individual environments;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of backup/recovery and other business continuity services.
Strong understanding of security practices.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office solutions;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop;
Advanced knowledge of alerting and monitoring.
Advanced knowledge of build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging
Preferences:
Master's degree and prior experience in the health care industry including exposure to Epic Systems technologies
