Genesis10 is currently seeking a Hadoop / Informatica Developer with our client in the financial industry in their Plano, TX location. This is a 6 month + contract to hire position.
Responsibilities:
Assists with developing and streamlining the current Hadoop /informatica batch process
Monitor batches, investigate and resolve issues, work on BAU fixes and Stability and performance improvements, work with QA and UAT teams for Code deployments, batch execution and data analysis support
Works closely with upstream and downstream applications and geographically distributed teams
This role will expose you to many different interesting technologies (Hadoop /Informatica/Elastic search/Mule soft/Oracle Exadata, advanced Linux scripting) and treasury data
Requirements:
Strong experience (5+ years) of Hadoop, Informatica tools, Oracle and Unix
Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write PL/SQL, stored procedures to solve complex business requirements
Experience with using Hadoop, Spark and Scala.
Strong knowledge of Data integration implementations
Hands on experience in UNIX Shell Scripting
Knowledgeable in data quality approaches and techniques
Experience in working with larger projects involving multiple groups and offshore teams
Excellent written and communication skills and ability to clearly indicate data integration solution designs and implementations
Agile experience
Working experience in scheduling jobs with Autosys
Works under minimal supervision
Need someone who takes ownership of production issues and provides solutions, fixing known code/data issues, addressing performance or stability issues and adding tools and dashboards instead of simply reporting the issues
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
Desired Skills:
Performance Tuning experience
Experience with using Power Exchange and Data Transformation tools
Experience with end to end design and build process of Real time and Near real time batch processing
Typically, 5-7 or more years of data delivery/integration experience
Experience in designing, developing and deploying Real time and Near real time & batch data integration solutions
Need someone with solid Informatica and Hadoop skills that's able to dive deep to analyze production failures and come up with solutions
