The role (what you’ll do)
Convert raw field data and notes into complete survey plats and deliverables.
Produce review title commitments, connect linework, label features, and prepare files for printing/PDF.
Meet Alliance drafting standards and deliver completed drafts on a fast turnaround (typical 24 hours).
Work directly with the lead surveyor to clarify project details and revisions.
Who we’re looking for (requirements)
Proven experience as a CAD/Survey drafter — Carlson Survey experience is highly preferred.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D acceptable if you’re strong with survey workflows.
Solid understanding of boundary, title, topo, and as-built survey drafting conventions.
Strong attention to detail, clean linework, and the ability to hit tight deadlines.
Must be self-motivated and able to work remotely as a contractor (1099).
Compensation & logistics (clear terms)
Contractor (1099). Pay is a portion of the job: typically 10% of gross job price. Typical residential jobs are around $400 (you’ll receive a percentage of the contracted rate).
Pay schedule: bi-weekly direct deposit.
We supply a licensed copy of Carlson Survey for experienced partners when needed. You must provide your own workstation and internet.
Typical job time: 1–3 hours for experienced drafters (varies by project).
This is a remote drafting role — no daily commute required. Preference given to drafters familiar with San Antonio/Bexar County surveying conventions.
