About the Position:
A Project Engineer is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing contract document organization, submittals, submittal logs, RFI’s, RFI logs and procurement tracking from preconstruction through construction completion. A project engineer reports to a project manager and will give weekly updates on log tracking.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Project Planning: Develop submittal execution plan and procurement vendor list.
Technical Expertise: Apply databasing expertise to maintaining construction logs and proactive planning to ensuring submittals, RFI’s and procurement are completed with the construction schedule.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including, field personnel, project managers and project sales team to ensure project goals are met.
Project Execution: Manage project documentation to ensure project will be completed with in construction schedule.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction logs are maintained with accurate information and dates to meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Communication: Effectively communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders, both internal and external.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
Client Interaction: Interface with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing lessons learned in future projects.
Location & commitments
Full-time: Seeking full-time field workers willing to work 40 hours Monday through Friday. Glaziers are expected to adhere these hours unless otherwise specified by employer.
Hours: Involves regular day-time hours, start times may vary based on jobsite location/travel.
Overtime: During peak construction periods or when deadlines need to be met, engineers may be required to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.

Punctuality: Arriving on time for work. Being punctual sets an example to your team and demonstrates reliability to employers.
Communication: If unforeseen circumstances or delays occur that may impact attendance, it is important for employees to communicate properly and notify employer.
Candidate requirements
College Degree: Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Experience in databasing, construction planning, overall computer knowledge.
Industry Knowledge: Some understanding of construction
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Problem Solving: Problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges and optimize glass-related processes.
Leadership Skills: Leadership abilities to guide project teams and ensure successful project delivery
