Develop control systems for marine powertrains Verify software functionality using Hardware in the Loop (HiL) system Develop test fixtures and test plans Develop and test marine software (integrated testing with engine, panels and displays) Support marine projects which improve critical business growth beyond core projects, that drive financial results and project plans Support and/or Lead in design review, deep dives and GWs for NPI and CPI projects Support the definition of system architectures and interfaces Contribute to the development of control system hardware Collaborate with and support other engineers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers. Support customer field follow
Typical Day:
Review requirements specifications and author test plans. Design and implement tests, capture results and review with team. Author or modify feature specifications based on findings, communicate with the broader team
Education Requirement:
Desired: Bachelor's degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering or equivalent control system work experience, willing to take 2+ year degree with more experience
Critical Technical Skills:
Required: Experience with Electronic Hardware and Software testing Experience reading electrical schematics Experience with CANape Experience with datalinks: required: J1939, Desired: Experience with complex control system designs Experience with datalinks: desired: NMEA and Modbus Experience with Boundary Diagrams, Interface Analysis and FMEAs
Soft Skills Required:
Superior attention to detail Ability to work independently and engaging experienced individuals as needed to bridge gaps in knowledge Team player able to work with internal/external suppliers Ability to prioritize work efforts & multi-task on parallel activities Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
