Description:Responsible for section management to ensure inventory and supplier management targets are being met to support production targets. Must ensure that people, processes, and systems are in place to achieve targets. Operations (Will need to improve & develop):Inventory management plan, along with a pipeline.
Non-standard inventory resolution
Supplier management (supply chain disruption tracking , reporting, and recovery)
Change point implementation for logistics periods, vehicle design changes, and internal delivery flow.
Project Management:Improvements to current inventory management systems
Support product changes over activity - systems and part readiness
Track and root cause identification of supplier base service disruptions
Counter measure, follow up, capability checks with supplier base
Cost savings measures implemented and documented
Process Management:Inventory management: 40 suppliers and 500 part numbers
Interaction with suppliers and plant personnel to understand inventory issues and implement solutions to prevent production interruptions
Utilize daily part counts and pipeline information to determine necessary inventory adjustments
Problem Solving:Inventory levels problem solving
Pipeline gap/service interruption problem solving
Order systems verification and unexpected result countermeasures
Support strategies for new model launch
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Supply chain/business/industrial engineering
2+ years experience in supply chain
2+ years experience in managing material flow or supplier contingency crisis
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Access
Flexibility to work at night or weekends if needed.
