Receiving and Inspecting Materials: Accept incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or shipping documents, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
Storing Materials: Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring that items are stored safely and in accordance with inventory management practices.
Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and update inventory records. This includes using inventory management systems to monitor stock and reorder materials as needed.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment based on orders. This involves accurately selecting items, ensuring correct packaging, and preparing them for delivery or further processing.
Material Handling: Move materials using manual methods or equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving items within the facility, and ensuring safe handling practices.
Maintaining Equipment: Perform basic maintenance on handling equipment and report any malfunctions or safety issues to the maintenance team.
