The Original Mexican Restaurant is looking for employees to fill all positions in the restaurant. All interested persons, come to the restaurant and fill out an application. A valid picture ID and social security card are required to be employed with us. Please bring those items when you come to apply because we conduct on-site interviews. Servers are required to have their TABC license. All employees are required to have non-slip shoes. Reliable transportation is required. We are located at 528 River Walk, underneath Coyote Ugly and next to Saltgrass.
We are a fast-paced and high-volume restaurant that are looking for individuals looking for full-time employment. We offer a full 40 hour a week schedule with several opportunities for paid overtime.
Hosts are expected to meet and greet customers; have a understanding of the restaurant menu; and have a pleasant and respectful personality. Past experience as a host is not required. We can train for the position.
Servers are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the menu; have an understanding about the importance of customer service; and have a great attitude and desire to learn. Past experience as a server is not required. We can train for the position.
Cooks are expected to learn the menu items and different plating procedures. We are searching for both prep and line cooks. Past experience as a cook is not required. We can train for the position.
Bussers are expected to clear tables of plates and cups and to properly clean and sanitize areas that customers interact with. Past experience as a busser is not required. We can train for the position.
Dishwashers are expected to clean the plates, cups, and pots and to restock these items after they have been cleaned and sanitized. Past experience as a dishwasher is not required. We can train for the position.
