We are currently seeking Live-In Caregivers and care givers for all shifts. Live-In Caregivers live at the property for their assigned shift and are paid a salary position for their Live-In services. Caregivers assist the elderly with daily living activities in a residential care facility. Duties may include keeping house (making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes) and preparing meals. Caregivers also monitor and report changes in health status and provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming of clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around.
Provides clients with help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming
Performs housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands.
Performs health care-related tasks such as monitoring vital signs and medication under the direction of registered nurses and physicians and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Serves meals to patients or other family members according to prescribed diets
Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations
Fills out and completes residents incident reports as needed
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employees information to assure that all rights are protected.
Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel.
Participate in all departmental meetings as required.
Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
Requires a strong work ethic, patience, understanding and professionalism.
Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties.
Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
