Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills to ensure that patients receive the best possible service during their visits.
Duties:
-Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
-Administer medications as directed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
-Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
-Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and documenting relevant information.
-Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.
-Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
-Collaborate with team members in urgent care settings or specialized units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) as needed.
-Uphold strict hygiene standards and follow protocols for infection control within the clinic or hospital environment.
Experience:
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
-Familiarity with urgent care settings or hospital medicine practices.
-Proficiency in medication administration techniques.
-Understanding of physiology and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
-Previous experience in a clinical environment is preferred but not mandatory.
