Our company, BLAS Caricatures, operates several high volume pedestrian foot traffic locations on the historic San Antonio Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Every year an estimated 9 million people visit the serene and historical district and enjoy a large array of diverse businesses to be found on the stretch of river. Restaurants, shopping, nightlife and more are included in the vast array of things to-do while visiting this world renowned area in the heart of San Antonio. This creates a very diverse and effective area for interacting with people, increasing the opportunity to make even more money for yourself as individual.
BLAS Caricatures is currently looking to expand their team of creative artists and is looking for interested individuals to apply for opportunities to contract with us, offering an uncapped commission based pay. For each sale made by the individual, a fixed percentage of pay is provided to the artist based on the sale of our product, as well as with the opportunity to gain tips as well. An outgoing and creative personality with the artistic know how of capturing an individuals likeness is all it takes to get started. No experience is necessary but it is required of you to have enough artistic ability to capture both face and bodies of individuals as necessary, along with some understanding of coloring and shading. We ask that you provide examples of your work, regardless of whether that is caricature examples or your individual art style, and find that it is beneficial to meet any potential artist for a presentation of the style of caricatures we offer in order to get a better understanding for yourself of our product, and ourselves alike for the capability of your doing so to create a cohesive product, typically by asking you to perform drawing a caricature with management for us to see.
Typically, weekends (to include Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 10AM until 10PM or later) are our highest traffic days and is be the main operating schedule of necessity for which we utilize several artists at our various easel stands throughout the city. Therefore, the ability to work weekends will be a must as we do not have many opportunities for weekday work. Special events and holidays both also are potential days for which we may contact any of the individual artists we work with in order to provide additional work opportunities outside of our weekend scheduling.
It is expected of you to have good customer service skills, capability to work long shifts, having the ability to be outside for extended periods of time along while displaying good self managing skills and money management.
The more you interact with potential customers, the more you will be able to sell which increases your pay individually. This is a competitive opportunity in the sense that you will stand to make larger amounts of money if you put more effort into making a sale as opposed to waiting for a customer to come to you. Occasionally we also offer opportunities for pay bonuses that will relate to a wide range of reasoning, but to include good-natured competitions between you and the other artist to make the highest quota of sales or other reasonings of the like.
