Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Offload incoming freight using pallet jack, hand truck or forklift.
Perform visual inspections of incoming package(s) to ensure no damage occurred during transit.
Verify receipt of items against packing slip and purchase order.
Systematically receive inventory using ERP system and accurately adhere inventory labels to appropriate packages.
Physically place received inventory in designated warehouse and/or production locations.
Consolidate current shelved inventory if applicable to create additional rack space.
Deliver, receive, and process job orders to back shops.
Collaborate with various departments such as purchasing, finance and quality.
Track, expedite and update receiving hot list.
Maintain and scan all incoming packing slips, shippers, invoices, BOL’s or other incoming documents to appropriate shared folder.
Assist in order picking when necessary.
Ensure receiving station, dock(s), staging areas are clean, safe, and in orderly condition.
Comply with all company policies, rules, guidelines, and behavior expectations.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of computers and/or the ability to grasp computer proficiency quickly.
Ability to quickly learn Syteline ERP and BarTender RFID software.
Ability to count parts and record data accurately and on a timely basis.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Customer service focused.
Willingness to take on new responsibilities and develop new skills.
Ability to work within tight timeframes and deadlines which, in turn, necessitates both a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize duties based on immediate needs.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma
Two or more years in a warehouse environment in shipping, receiving or other major warehouse functions.
