BENEFITS COUNSELING SPECIALIST (TEMP TO HIRE)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a responsible, non-supervisory position requiring familiarity with various government programs, such as Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Administration for Community Living (ACL), Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Older Americans Act (OAA), Office Area Agency on Aging (OAAA) and insurance benefits related to the elderly, and various rules and regulations regarding aging programs and services. Duties include assisting clients daily on a one-to-one basis either by phone or in-person; Providing resource information or referrals to elderly and individuals with disabilities, their family members, and/or caregivers; coordinating services with other agencies; Screening the incoming referrals and enrolling individuals into the AAA service programs for which they may be eligible in accordance with OAA/TAC/ACL/HHSC service definitions.

8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
$17.87 AN HOUR
