Job Description:
We are seeking people who have a passion for life and want to work with a team of like-minded individuals. As a Ranch Hand, you are responsible for assisting customers with their needs including help with the selection of their purchases. To thrive in this position, you will need an upbeat personality, a good understanding of the products we carry and services provided, and the ability to work in all areas of the store when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet customers and lead/guide/direct them to what they are looking for.
Have in-depth knowledge of the products and services Pottery Ranch offers.
Describe products and understand their use, operation, and care so the customer knows how to take care of their purchase.
Recommend and help locate products based on the customer’s needs.
Help customers at the check-out. Knowledge of how to use our Point-of-Sale system is a plus.
Help moving and placing merchandise around the store (Interior and Exterior).
Ability to successfully fulfill deliveries locally and beyond on occasion
Perform any store job function as directed by management including, but not limited to, sales and merchandising, cashiering, groundskeeping, carryout, and general store housekeeping.
Maintaining curb appeal
Assists in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems
Job Knowledge and Expectations:
Basic proficiency in reading and writing of the English language.
Ability to work individually and with a team.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail.
Be a strong team player and willing to perform other duties of the nursery as needed.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Be able to handle challenging customer service situations while maintaining professional customer relations.
Available weekends during the spring and summer as it is our busy season.
Ability to pull a trailer preferred
Forklift certified preferred
