Job Summary
A Private Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of individuals, properties, and businesses by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to security threats or incidents. The role involves preventing unauthorized access, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control: Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles to secure the premises.
Patrolling: Conduct routine patrols of designated areas to detect suspicious activities, safety hazards, or breaches of security protocols.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, ensuring appropriate action is taken, such as notifying law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Report Writing: Document daily activities, observations, and incidents in detailed, accurate reports.
Customer Service: Provide assistance to visitors, employees, and clients by offering directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
Enforce Rules and Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies and property regulations. Address violations and escalate as needed.
Crisis Management: Handle situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, and fire alarms according to established protocols.
Conflict Resolution: De-escalate conflicts using effective communication techniques while maintaining professionalism and safety.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
Certification: Relevant licenses and certifications as required by local regulations.
Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

Facial hair allowed but must be neatly trimmed.
