Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for expanding Arrow Capital Resources' presence in the market by building client relationships and securing new projects. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in construction—particularly in precast and concrete—and a proactive, client-focused mindset. The position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $65,000 annually, plus bonus and commission opportunities, with 25-50% travel required for client meetings and industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry, focusing on precast erection and repair services.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify potential clients and analyze the competitive landscape, especially in the San Antonio area.
Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to showcase Arrow Capital Resources' unique capabilities and expertise in precast services.
Bid & Proposal Management: Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and other project inquiries with accurate and competitive proposals tailored to client needs.
Technical Consultation: Communicate technical aspects of our services effectively, helping clients understand how our solutions meet their structural needs.
Sales Tracking & Reporting: Maintain records of all sales activities, including lead generation, sales pipeline, and forecasts, and report progress to management.
Problem-Solving: Act as a trusted advisor, proactively addressing project challenges and offering effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within the construction or precast/concrete sectors.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of precast erection, concrete, and field repair processes, with knowledge of project timelines and budgets.
Drafting or Engineering Experience: Background in drafting or engineering is a plus, enhancing technical communication and understanding of client needs.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
Customer-Focused: Excellent relationship-building skills with a customer-centered approach to business development.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, stay organized, and achieve sales targets.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify client needs and provide tailored solutions.
Local Market Insight: Familiarity with the construction market is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
