Position Summary: This position is intended to support continuous manufacturing operations within the facility and is responsible to maintain and repair utility and HVAC systems. They will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. They will provide maintenance, repair, adjustment and construction work to ensure that the facility is properly maintained and meets plant standards. They will assist in special projects, parts ordering and the oversight of contract maintenance and shop/toolroom safety and procedures.
Pay: Depending on Experience
Hours: Flexibility in schedule is a MUST
Facilities Maintenance/HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
Maintains and repairs utility, ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
Identifies maintenance risks on equipment
Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for utility and HVAC systems
Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
Assist in coordinating with outside contractors or vendors for repair and maintenance
projects and supports with estimating/evaluating projects costs
Maintains and follows a schedule of preventive maintenance items to be performed throughout the year
Ensures all safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Maintains complete and accurate documentation
Acts as a liaison between the Plant Manager and the contractors and vendors
Performs special projects as requested by management
Facilities Maintenance/HVAC Technician Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
Minimum 2-3 years of utility and/or HVAC experience or related areas
Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance and repair experience or related areas
Prior experience in manufacturing or similar industry is a plus
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) is a plus
Forklift certification is a plus
Basic mathematical and analytical skills
