Position Summary: As an Equipment Operator/ Yard Associate, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement and loading of materials such as soil, rock, and mulch. You’ll operate a range of heavy machinery including loaders and forklifts helping maintain the flow of operations in our yard and supporting our commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate all assigned equipment such as (but not limited to): front-end loaders forklifts, and commercial soil mixer’s in a safe and proficient manner in accordance with company’s policies, procedures, and directives.
Load and transport materials using hydraulic buckets or scoops, ensuring accuracy and productivity.
Follow safety guidelines at all times, including wearing PPE, observing site signals, and coordinating with team members.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring machinery is clean, well-maintained, and ready for use.
Maintain high standards of safety and operational efficiency while working on a busy yard.
Unload product from incoming trucks.
Load products into outbound vehicles, both customer and company.
Replenish or move product as directed.
Assist customers with product selection and provide additional support when needed.
Assist with other duties assigned by management. Such duties may include (but are not limited to): receiving materials, inventory, order processing/fulfillment, and other general labor tasks.
Other duties as assigned.

Someone with experience in operating heavy machinery, with certifications being a plus.

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, dozers, and skid loaders.
Ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety protocols, and coordinate with others on site.
