Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and building codes. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.
Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
Ensure all work complies with NEC regulations and safety standards.
Perform renovation tasks that require electrical modifications or upgrades.
Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
Utilize hand tools effectively for various electrical tasks including installation and repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings.
Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems.
Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
Maintenance Person experience is beneficial for general maintenance tasks.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
