We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are accurately received and properly stored. Your expertise will support seamless warehouse operations, facilitate accurate inventory management, and contribute to timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and proficiency in handling various equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. Responsibilities
Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks while adhering to safety protocols.
Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
Inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies; document and report issues promptly.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately record receipt details and update inventory records.
Properly store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal organization for easy retrieval.
Prepare items for order picking by accurately selecting products using RF scanners or order pickers.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments for outbound delivery in coordination with shipping teams.
Support stock replenishment activities by stocking shelves efficiently and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Collaborate with the shipping & receiving team to load and unload trucks efficiently during inbound and outbound operations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following safety guidelines.
Support inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy within the warehouse management system.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively.
Assist with other warehouse duties including order fulfillment, order picking & packing, and load/unload activities as needed.
Experience
Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on receiving or distribution operations.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems
Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners required.
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with basic math skills for inventory calculations.
Experience with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing for e-commerce or retail distribution.
Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory records.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
