We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Duties:
- Conduct swim lessons in a safe and supportive environment
- Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and floating
- Provide instruction on water safety and emergency procedures
- Assess individual abilities and tailor lessons to meet the needs of each student
- Demonstrate and explain skills effectively to ensure understanding
- Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the swimming facility
Qualifications:
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes
- Previous experience in swim instruction or related fields (e.g., childcare, sports coaching)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with individuals of all ages, including children and adults
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency procedures
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Preferred Skills (not required):
- Experience in other sports coaching or activities such as cheerleading, martial arts, basketball, etc.
- Ability to educate students on the benefits of swimming for overall fitness and health
