English/Spanish Speaking New Patient Coordinator

We are looking to hire someone for the position of New Patient Coordinator in a Call Center that currently services 10 different Medical Clinics. We are looking for someone with perfect English who also speaks Spanish. (Most calls are in English.)

This job allows you to work from home after training period. However we only consider people who live in between Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio and we prefer San Marcos, Wimberley, Dripping Springs areas because the training period requires a period where you are with our supervisor every day and you need to be able to meet in person with your supervisor who is in Wimberley.

You would be speaking with and booking new patients who call in or write in (no cold calling) and booking appointments for new patients. You will need to learn many details and a lot of information about each clinic that we service, so your ability to learn quickly is vital. Most of these clinics are functional medicine clinics that treat thyroid conditions, offer hormone replacement therapy and other functional medicine services. So some basic medical knowledge and understanding of hormones and functional medicine would be a real plus.

Being literate, able to speak clearly and understandably in both English and Spanish, being helpful and understanding, and relaying correct information are important aspects of the job. Also important are basic computer, typing.

Excellent phone skills and communication skills are vital for this job. We really need people who are happy to chat with and care about those who are calling in about the services we offer.

We are looking for full time work, but would also consider part time, for example 30 hours per week.

Once you are trained, the job can be performed at your own home in a quiet, distraction-free environment (no young children or loud noises such as dogs that bark, etc. as some of these calls can be quite long).

Important attributes we are looking for are: some medical knowledge (as described above), patience, empathy, comfortable and professional talking on the phone, general computer skills, ability to learn quickly, hard-working and trustworthiness.

We will train you on the many details of the job and the clinics we service. This training will take approx 4-8 weeks (depending on whether you are full time or part-time), some of which can be done at your own home and but much of it will need to be done working with other Call Center personnel (so would involve some initial traveling for the in-person training). Most of us live in Wimberley, but nearby cities/towns are also acceptable as long as you are willing to travel for training and an occasional day working with another Call Center personnel. Bonuses and Pay raises are offered for good performance and longevity.

We are looking for a long-term employee as the investment in training is significant.

During initial training, you will be paid $20 per hour as a contractor. Once trained, starting pay is $25 per hour as an employee.

Please reply with your resume and any information as to why you would be a good fit for this job.
