This is a dual position for a care attendant and assistant.
This is mostly for socialization and occasional outings. Also some moderate walking and chair exercises. Experience in using a gait belt would be helpful. There is no personal care or meal prep required. If you have a military background and enjoy history than you will be a good fit. Also an attentive listener, patient with a good sense of humor.
Assistant responsibilities are assisting and accompanying to doctors appointments, senior center, post office, grocery store, and haircuts. You will need to be strong enough to assist with loading in/out of vehicle and loading walker or wheelchair in/out of vehicle.
There will be a background check required and you must provide 3 verifiable professional references. You must have reliable transportation and a working phone. Non smoker.
This is an hourly position with a schedule of 12-16 hours per week. Hours will be week days from 0900 to 1300 OR 1300 to 1700 hours. There might be occasional changes to the schedule that may need your flexibility. This position pays $20 per hour and you will be responsible for your tax liability.
