Job Title: Lead Excavator Operator & Lead Dozer/Finish Operator
Location: San Marcos and Surrounding (Austin – San Antonio)
Job Type: Full-Time
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
Pay Range: Starting $20.00-$27.00 per hour / salary (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Excavator and Dozer/Finish Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators and/or Dozers/Motor Graders and a proven ability to lead and coordinate crews on-site. You will play a key role in ensuring earthwork projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavator/dozer/blade to perform site preparation, excavation, grading, and other earthwork tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes
Lead and direct crew members to ensure productivity and job site safety
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and other team members
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Monitor progress and quality of work, adjusting operations as necessary
Topcon GPS experience a plus
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience operating in the construction or related industry
2+ years in a supervisory or lead role a plus
Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
Strong understanding of earthwork techniques and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and manage a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have reliable transportation
