RCR Telecon, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Horizontal Directional Drill Operator to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Vermeer directional drill safely and efficiently.
- Perform underground drilling and boring operations.
- Utilize F2 and F5 locators for accurate drill positioning and guidance.
- Document production through accurate bore logs and photos
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Ensure all work is completed to industry and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Experience with the Vermeer drill is required.
- Proficiency in using F2 and F5 locators is essential.
- Ability to utilize proper mixing compounds to maximize tool efficiency
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as mini-excavator
- Ability to clean and maintain the machinery to ensure continuous operation
- Must have a valid Driver's License; CDL A is required
- Must possess current OSHA certifications (such as OSHA 10 or 30, trenching, and excavation safety, cpr).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and driving background review.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects, kneel, dig, stoop, and perform physically demanding tasks in the field.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction plans, and utility markings.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of underground construction practices and safety protocols.
