Requisition ID: 162995Position SummaryAssist skilled craftsperson(s) by performing supportive duties as directed and will work under immediate supervision. The level and degree of job responsibilities and requirements vary depending on months of experience and assigned job step.Experience LevelEntryPrimary Responsibilities and Duties Learn to read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Learn to identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications. Assist skilled craftsman to erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways. Assist with construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling pre-constructed scaffolds. Assist with buildin and constructing wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items. Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.Qualifications May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for position Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision Field experience in chosen craft discipline Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.RequirementsThe person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlConstantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditionsWork irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requiredMay be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsMove and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesMust be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentMay be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial siteMust have required toolsU.S. Driver's License may be requireObserve and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requiredAbility to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testingWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
