About the Opportunity
East Texas A&M University (ETAMU) is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of capital improvement, renovation, and new construction projects. As a key member of the Facilities and Construction team, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with ETAMU’s standards, codes, and sustainability goals. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, manage consultants and contractors, and contribute to ETAMU’s commitment to building a world-class learning environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of capital and renovation projects from concept through completion.
Develop and monitor budgets, schedules, and project scopes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify priorities and needs.
Oversee and coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors.
Ensure compliance with ADA, life safety, and sustainability standards.
Conduct project meetings, site inspections, and quality checks.
Administer change orders, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in facilities or construction project management.
Skills: Strong budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
Certifications: Valid Class C Driver’s License required.
Other: Knowledge of ADA and fire codes related to building ingress and egress.
