Preventative Maintenance Technician Job Title: Preventive Maintenance TechnicianDESCRIPTIONThe PM Technician will have experience which qualifies them to inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance. This position is responsible for driving to various job sites, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the fleet of equipment.DUTIESDriving to the job site.Inspecting trucks and heavy equipment for proper performance.Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on trucks and equipment.Cleaning, servicing, and repairing of machine attachments.Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.Repairing damaged equipment parts.Performing major repair work when necessary.Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic preferred.Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.Certificates and LicensesValid driver licenseRequired Skills/Abilities2+ years of experience a heavy equipment mechanic.Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.Excellent mechanical skills.Ability to follow instructions.Must have own tools to carry out job duties.Physical RequirementsAble to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.Must be able to work on machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.Show less Apply now in 2 minutes!
