Description Prominent Real Estate company based in The Woodlands, specializing in homebuilding projects that redefine quality and innovation is looking to add a Controller to the team. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Controller with a background in homebuilding to join our dynamic team.Controller Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage financial operations for homebuilding projects.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to residential construction.
Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets and financial performance.
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including detailed project financials.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for homebuilding activities.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulations affecting residential construction.
Requirements
Controller Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance,
CPA Strongly preferred.
Proven experience as a Controller in the real estate industry, with a focus on homebuilding.
In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with project accounting and cost control in residential construction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
