Description We are seeking to bring on board a Paralegal to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with coordinating the intake of all new matters, supporting our legal team in various aspects of matter management, and leading discovery efforts within the company. This role also involves managing legal holds, providing corporate information, and assisting in the coordination and management of settlements. Responsibilities: Coordinate the intake of new matters, including setting up case files and managing legal holds Offer support in all aspects of matter management such as trials, pre-trial practice, and e-discovery Prepare regular updates for company officers, auditors, and the board of directors Collaborate with internal lawyers and other corporate functions to provide corporate information and general corporate assistance Lead discovery efforts within the company in coordination with outside and in-house counsel Work in collaboration with outside counsel and representatives of other companies Assist in the coordination and management of settlements and supporting documentation Oversee mandatory Medicare reporting and assist with SOX control auditing and testing Coordinate responses to subpoenas for employee records and wage garnishment requests Work with litigation counsel and internal stakeholders to prepare, update, and maintain quarterly and annual forecasts and budgets Oversee the management of legacy toxic tort docket and provide administrative support on various projects, policy, and procedure development. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably within a litigation setting Proficient in Litigation ParaLegal tasks, including drafting and filing pleadings Demonstrated experience with Discovery, including drafting Discovery Requests and Responses Proficiency in using e-Discovery tools and software Experience in preparing for and assisting during Pre-trial proceedings Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain attention to detail Must have strong organizational and project management skills Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Commitment to uphold and maintain all ethical standards of the legal profession.
