This smaller hospital of less than 100 beds proudly provides care to patients in the surrounding communities, offering: intensive and emergency care, advanced women’s services and a birthing center, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, pediatric care, general medical surgical care, in addition to diagnostic imaging and radiology services. This facility is a part of a large leading healthcare organization in the State of Texas that is continually recognized for excellence in nursing, stroke care, patient safety, and women’s health.
Working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the Medical Surgical RN Director will be responsible for provision of strong hands-on leadership for the 15+ bed inpatient med surg unit. This inpatient unit is prepared to treat patients for conditions such as pneumonia, cellulitis, COPD, Diabetes, heart failure, and chest pain, and also sees patients of all age groups including adults, geriatric, and pediatric patients. The Medical Surgical RN Director will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, employee education and training, unit budget monitoring, new employee on-boarding, as well as all quality and infection control management activities for the unit.
