The University of the Incarnate Word, School of Professional Studies is offering an exciting opportunity for those interested in beginning a new career as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). We have tailored the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program to fit the busy schedules of students with career, life and family obligations.
This course is designed to prepare students to successfully pass the National Healthcareer Association exam and directly enter the exciting field of Medical Assisting. Students are also eligible to take exams to have certifications as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and EKG Technician (CET) after the course is complete. Our program includes a well-blended mix of classroom, audio-visual presentation and hands-on experience at local Family Practices. Instruction is provided by experienced, licensed current practitioners in the field of Medical Assisting.
