Taxi Driver Duties and Responsibilities
Pick up and drop off passengers, assist with groceries, walkers, etc
Practice safe, defensive driving
Process credit card payments
Provide accurate change for cash payments
Note vehicle maintenance needs and issues
Requirements and Qualifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
City of Victoria Taxi Driver Permit, we will help applicant with permit application
Thorough knowledge of the driving area
Understanding of traffic patterns and safe driving practices
Basic math skills
Friendly, personable demeanor
We have a position open for part time, 3 or 4 days a week. We prefer that applicant be flexible with which days they can work.
No experience necessary, however our ideal candidate would have prior experience driving professionally, knowledge of the greater Victoria area, and the ability to route around traffic congestion on the fly. Ideal position for retiree who would like to earn some extra cash each day. 12 hour shift, 5:30 am to 6:00 pm, no night shift. Must be at least 25 for insurance regulations.
