Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hydraulic and heavy equipment repair, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostics. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of hydraulic machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other technicians to provide high-quality service to our customers.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, trailers, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Diagnose mechanical hydraulic issues using diagnostics tools and knowledge.
Conduct repairs on cylinders, hoses, motors, PTOs, etc.
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklifts safely.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for various repair tasks.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Assist in the assembly and fabrication of components (if able to perform machine work).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance.
Proficient in working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailer systems, and heavy lifting tasks.
Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus; soldering and welding skills are beneficial.
Familiarity with hydraulic systems and air brake systems are beneficial.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repair work.
