Big Creek Construction is looking to hire a TxDOT Level 1A Lab Technician in the Central Texas Area.
Job Summary: The TxDOT Level 1A Lab Technician will sample and test the products to ensure they meet the specifications set by TxDOT.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
Use accepted methods to inspect, sample and test aggregates, asphalt or other materials for the purpose of quality control.
Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer.
Prepare and submit accurate, legible, comprehensive and complete testing reports on a daily basis in accordance with established quality procedures.
If there seems to be a problem with the material, the 1A Lab Technician will investigate and let the manager know what changes need to be made to meet the specifications.
Requirements
Must have knowledge of TxDOT HMA testing procedures and specifications
Competent with Microsoft Office
Ability to work flexible schedule with some nights and weekends
Physically able to lift over 50 pounds, bend, stoop and grasp
Ability to work in extreme conditions (Heat, Rain, Cold, Dust)
TxDOT Level 1A Certification (PREFERRED)
2 years testing experience (PREFERRED)
Texas Driver's License (REQUIRED)
Pass a Pre-Employment "Fit For Work" Physical (REQUIRED)
Pass a Drug/Alcohol Test (REQUIRED)
