Your OpportunityThe Corporate Insurance group purchases and oversees the insurance programs for The Charles Schwab Corporation, all subsidiaries, worldwide. An integral position of administrative and technical support to the insurance process. The position works closely with the Managing Director – Corporate Insurance in maintaining and utilizing the insurance programs that provide financial protection to the Charles Schwab Corporation.What you are good atThe Corporate Insurance Associate role provides important support to the insurance process and is integral to the continued success of the CI group in providing insurance protection to the Company and service/expertise to our internal customers. The position requires working with a variety of people and departments, both internal and external, to capture required information, prepare reports, and maintain files and records. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:Insurance renewals: Assist in the preparation of insurance renewal submissions/applications. This will include gathering of exposure information (property values, square footage, financial documentation) and complete draft submission summaries.

Independent Branch Franchise Program: Independently supervise and maintain the property/casualty insurance program for the franchisees

Notary Bond Program: Independently procure notary bonds for Schwab notaries.

Certificates of Insurance: Accurate and timely provision of certificates of insurance to various requestors. May require review of lease language. Preparation of renewal certificate list

Insurance Program Support: Provide overall support to the insurance purchase process including: process invoices for payment, maintain files of binders and policies, maintain policy invoice tracking report, coordinate loss control inspections with insurance companies and perform primary policy quality review

Management Reporting Support: Assist the MD with the collection of information required for the completion of monthly and quarterly reports to management

What you have2+ years of experience in an insurance or insurance support role.

Completed insurance classes a plus

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a constantly evolving environment.

Excellent verbal communication and strong professional maturity.

In addition to the above, highly qualified candidates will also have:Strong familiarity with commercial insurance policies.

Sharp problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully interact and connect with fellow employees and insurance brokers and companies on all levels

Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
