Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Supplier Quality team. We are looking for a dynamic, engaged professional with excellent communications skills to partner with diverse teams including Supplier Management, Program Management, Engineering, Program Quality, and our suppliers to ensure that our quality requirements are accurately flowed to our suppliers, ensuring the best possible product for our customers.

Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities

  • Represents BGS Supplier Quality function on F/A-15 and/or F/A-18 team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
  • Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved


This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • Significant experience with Engineering Drawings & Specifications
  • Experience working with Suppliers on continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with supplier contract requirements/ Government contract deliverables
  • Working knowledge of Notice of Escapement processes
  • Experience investigating quality defects
  • Significant experience with data manipulation
  • Experience developing metrics


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Material Review Board Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the First Article Inspection process (AS9102)
  • Experience Boeing Production System
  • Team Center experience
  • Working knowledge of CDRLs
  • Experience with RCCA
  • Quality Auditing Experience
  • Experience with Supplier Quality Surveillance Planning


Relocation:

This position offers relocation to Hazelwood, MO for qualified candidates.

Summary pay range: $90,000 - $160,000
