Description We are in search of a Collections Specialist based in American Fork, Utah, 84003, United States. This role is part of the finance industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Collections Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing accounts receivable, handling inbound calls, overseeing billing functions, administering claims, and supervising collection processes.Responsibilities: Administer and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing Handle inbound calls from customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues promptly Oversee billing functions to maintain up-to-date and precise records Administer claims, ensuring they are processed and resolved in a timely manner Supervise collection processes, implementing strategies to recover outstanding payments Monitor customer accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and take appropriate action Communicate with customers to resolve any billing and payment discrepancies Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications Ensure all customer credit records are updated and accurate Implement strategies to improve collection processes and ensure compliance with company policies. Requirements Must possess expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) Should have experience in answering inbound calls Demonstrable experience with billing functions is required Must have a solid understanding of claim administration Proficiency in collection processes is mandatory Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail An ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner is needed Should have a strong ethical stance towards the confidentiality of customer information Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team Must be able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact Should possess strong organizational and time management skills Must have a high level of proficiency in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Experience with financial software platforms is preferred A background in financial services or a related industry is advantageous Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in related fields are a plus.
