Clearfield, UT, USA | Full Time Job Title: Range Safety Integration Engineer Location: Hill AFB, UT (On-Site) Canvas is seeking a Range Safety Engineer! This position is to provide assistance and advisory services to the DoD. Duties:
Develop range safety data products for use by Vandenberg SFB test ranges, to include Space Launch Delta-30 Command, 2ROPs, PMRF, Reagan Test Site.
You will regularly interface and be the liaison for all range safety activities pertaining to the Sentinel CTF.
Aide in development of Hazard analysis/procedures and System Safety Plans/Guides.
AFSPCMAN 91-710 tailoring and execution throughout the Sentinel flight test campaign.
Ensure System and Test equipment comply with MIL STDs, AFMANs, DoDI, OSHA, and other safety regulations.
Coordinate/facilitate integration and communication between Sentinel CTF, SPO, and Prime Contractor.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, technical and safety review boards (TRB/SRBs), test readiness reviews (TRRs), and test assessment reports.
Coordinate with VSFB range safety personnel to integrate CTF and SPO test personnel into flight test planning and execution decisions.
Oversee qualification and acceptance testing activities occurring at VSFB for cables, destruct systems, and onboard telemetry systems.
Support integration and advancement of government assessment tools through advocacy for technical approaches and development of specific tools to enable assessment.
Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.
Maintain cognizance of all assigned Combined Test Force (CTF)/Test Team engineering activities.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.
Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.
Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science degree; Master of Science degree desired. Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
3-10 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing.
Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies.
Understanding of AFSPCMAN 91-710, AFMAN 91-201, and other range related documentation.
Knowledge of Vandenberg range requirements (Range Safety, 576 FLTS, Frequency clearance, etc.).
Demonstrated record of experience and accomplishments that are exceptional and/or unique.
Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
