The Current Products Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining current product lines.  Will proactively monitor product reviews and feedback from sales, customer service, marketing and executive teams to identify product quality/cost/usability improvements.  Develops product improvement concepts, conducts feasibility studies, coordinates validation testing on new and modified designs.  Supports production increases by evaluating and qualifying capacity tooling.  Has the ability to use state-of-the-art CAD and analysis tools to create mechanical designs, primarily consisting of injection-molded plastic, extruded parts, and accessory components, from initial concepts through prototyping and into high volume production.  Works closely with internal and/or external partners to generate all necessary documentation and test plans to ensure that products meet specification.  Monitors feedback from customers to identify and correct production quality problems.  Interacts directly with Asian manufacturing facilities.  Travel to Asia will be required.
