PRACTICAL NURSING INSTRUCTORLocation: Lehi, UTStatus: Full-Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.Pay / Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 SUMMARY As a Practical Nursing Instructor, your role is to prepare LPN students for licensure. You will establish and communicate clear learning objectives and adapt teaching methods to meet student learning styles. You will promote the development of professional attitudes and behaviors. You will help students acquire the knowledge and skills they need to provide exceptional patient care and to excel in the nursing field. RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Instructor include, but are not limited to:

Teaching course(s) as outlined in the curriculum to include theory content.

Coordinate with PN Program Directors to resolve issues affecting student outcomes

Promote the development of professional attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors among students through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed

Developing lesson plans according to approved course outcomes and learning objectives

Placing all syllabi, lesson plans, rubrics, assignment overviews, tests, course schedules, course content, learning objectives and all other appropriate materials in the correct file in the shared nursing drive on a regular basis.

Investigating and adopting strategies that improve teaching by reviewing available teaching resources and recommending the acquisition of appropriate materials.

All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or APRN in the State of Utah is required.

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university or college required; Master of Science in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred.

Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Registered Nurse or APRN.

Nursing education and leadership experience preferred.

Ability to work as a member of a team and dedication to students is essential.
