AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Surface Water Group in Salt Lake City (Murray), Utah office.As a Water Resources Engineer, you will act as a technical lead of water resources projects related to but not limited H&H modeling and floodplain mapping, stormwater modeling, flood control projects, site development, and transportation-related drainage design.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Develop and analyze one-dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and/or SRH2D.Efficiently work with GIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping.Prepare project reports, engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aidsAssist in the development of scopes of work and budgets for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects.Mentoring, leading, and training junior level staffReviewing technical work of othersCommunicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.Collaborate with other teams, departments or business lines across AECOM.
