PRN Operational Control Specialist

Job Description:The Operations Control Center is staffed by Operations Control Specialists (OCS) who are committed to safe, professional helicopter air ambulance (HAA) operations. The program is designed to enhance the safety of our HAA operations by monitoring significant safety of flight issues.Classic Air Medical - FAA Operational Control SpecialistPRN - On call, as needed.Job Essentials

Provide two-way communication with pilots;

Provide pilots with weather briefings,

Participates in the preflight risk analysis.

Provides flight following for our HAA flights

Initiates the Emergency Response Plan when necessary

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Private Pilot License

Experience with and general working knowledge of computers and basic computer programs.

Excellent communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Computer skills including Excel, ForeFlight, Flight Vector, search engines, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others requiring the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, and identify volume, tone, and quality of telecom signals.

Operate computers, devices, telephones, and office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

See and read computer monitors and documents.
