Responsibilities:
Supervise and implement the three core practices at Niels Fugal: Safety, Quality and Production.
Ability to read and understand contract documents, drawings (staking sheets) and specifications.
Understand and adhere to local building systems, construction materials, electrical, design and engineering concepts applicable to data & telecommunications infrastructure projects
Perform site visits, conduct site surveys and document existing conditions.
Assist with take-offs, project estimates and, when the scope of work (SOW) changes, Request for Information (RFI’s).
Develop SOW based on contract documents that captures all project requirements.
Work with in-house personnel/crew and a network of subcontractors and material distributor suppliers.
Review suppliers, distributor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and that they match the project plans, specifications, design.
Establish construction schedule and maintain that schedule for the project duration.
Must have a strong knowledge with various Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) construction methods including structured cabling and wiring methods such as building conduit and riser cabling design, analysis, and recommendations relative to CAT5e, CAT6, copper, fiber-optic, and coaxial cable installations, aerial, directional boring, backhoe, trenching, and plowing operations as well as digger and bucket truck operations
Call-outs and weekends will be necessary as required by each customer/contract.
You will represent Niels Fugal Sons Co to interface with customer, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities.
Candidate will be expected to coordinate, lead and provide assistance to crews, subcontractors and the customer.
Candidate will ensure that construction schedules are met on time. In addition, the candidate must be able to identify and report obstacles as they are encountered or if such obstacles are in sight.
Candidate will ensure that all Corporate Policies and Procedures are followed.
Candidate will organize, plan, multi-task, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and to prioritize deadlines while communicating effectively and professionally with all staff.
Candidate is preferred to have 3-5 years of supervisor experience in the telecommunications industry.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities.
Candidate must have Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements. This includes trench/shoring safety, compaction requirements and thorough clean-up/restoration.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license; the candidate must have, or be willing to obtain, a Class-A CDL.
Candidate must be able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
Candidate must possess skills or proficiency with basic business applications such as Excel, Word, Projects, Power-Point, etc.
Candidate must possess skills or proficiency with Bluebeam Revu; this will be mandatory for design and redline documentation, or ability to learn quickly
Will be responsible to organize, mobilize and allocate crews to various jobs.
Will assist and manage Blue-Stake/One-Call tickets with crew foreman and excavators.

What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience.
Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
Advanced proficiency in assigned function, example; (Accounting, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Project Mgmt, etc.)
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements, rural locations and at active construction sites.
