We are a center education, art, festivals, and history and offer something for everyone to enjoy.Position Summary:This role is responsible for assisting patients with the admitting process, which includes the following:
Explaining policies regarding services, charges, insurance billing, and payment of accounts to patients, vendors, and customers.
Requesting full or partial payment(s) for services rendered according to collection policies.
Receiving payments from patient for services rendered, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.
Assisting patients and physician clinics with price quotes and pre-authorizations for special programs.
Ensuring thatallnecessarydemographic,billing,andclinicalinformationisobtainedandenteredintheregistrationsystemwithtimelinessandaccuracy.
Distributing and explaining forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.
Meeting withpatientorpatient'scaregiverbeforeorafteradmissiontoexchangenecessaryinformationanddocumentation.
Providing explanationofprocessandaddressing concernsandquestions.
Verifying insurancebenefitsandobtaining preauthorizationasnecessary.
Communicating withadmittingphysician'soffice,nursingunitstaff,and/orotherappropriatepersonnelregardingadmissiontoexchangenecessaryinformationanddetermineplacement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain BLS within 60 days of hire and maintain
High school diploma or equivalent is required
