This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a thriving, energetic location. Independent retail experience and PioneerRX pharmacy management software experience will be helpful. This is a PRN position to work as need when shifts are available. There may tentatively be regular shifts available every other Saturday.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (R.Ph.), or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD).

3 years experience in a Retail Pharmacy preferred.

Knowledge and skills in basic compounding.

Description:Provide support in the Pharmacy Department by fulfilling all clinical and retail pharmacy functions, working with employees, ordering products, supporting pharmacy initiatives to stimulate the growth and expansion of pharmacy services to the clinic and retail customers.

Skill Set:Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organization skills are necessary.

Must be a self-starter and willing to work as a team player.

Ability to motivate subordinates and others.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Action oriented.

Ability to delegate and follow-up.

Ability to manage conflict.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct and control both employees and processes.

Duties:Provide support to all facets of the daily operations of the pharmacy department ensuring compliance with the state and federals laws, and the Revere Health policies and procedures.

Supporting the implementation and adherence to pharmacy policies that address the following:

Assuring that pharmacist and pharmacy interns (and where allowed pharmacy technicians) dispense drugs or devise, including:packaging, preparation, compounding and labeling; and ensuring that drugs are dispensed safely and accurately as prescribed;

Assuring that pharmacy personnel deliver drugs to the patient or the patient’s agent.

Assuring that a pharmacist, pharmacy intern or pharmacy technician communicates to the patient or the patient’s agent information about the prescription drug or device or non-prescription products.

Assuring that a pharmacist or pharmacy intern communicates to the patient of the patient’s agent, at their request, information concerning any prescription drug dispensed to the patient by the pharmacist or pharmacy intern.

Assuring that a reasonable effort is made to obtain record and maintain patient medication records.

Education and training of pharmacy technicians.

Supporting policies for procurement of prescription drugs and devices and other products dispensed from the pharmacy.

Disposal and distribution of drugs from the pharmacy; Bulk compounding of drugs and packaging for nursing homes and extended care facilities.

Storage of all materials, including drugs, chemicals and biologicals.

Maintenance of records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to maintain accurate control over and accountability for all pharmaceutical materials required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Maintenance of effective controls against theft or diversion of prescription drugs and records of such drug.

If records are kept on a data processing system, the maintenance of records stored in that system shall be in compliance with pharmacy requirements.

Assuring that the automated pharmacy system is in good working order and accurately dispenses the correct strength, dosage form and quantity of the drug prescribed while maintaining appropriate record keeping and security safeguards; and Assuring that all relevant information is submitted to the Controlled Substance Database in the appropriate format and in a timely manner.

Respond to customer complaints and questions in an efficient and courteous manner.

Control use of register keys, securing door keys or codes and alarm codes.

Execute the opening and closing of the pharmacy including setting of alarms.

Administer, monitor, and react to internal loss prevention programs.

Maintain schedule flexibility to cover Pharmacy Director as needed

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-6:30 pm

Saturday 8:45-1:00 pm
